If anybody is wondering how they do this...you need a special set of 6 cams to record the whole sphere simultaneously at the same time and then you stitch the scenes together. Still this is no excuse for the shitty quality as one can produce the 360° video in the same quality as a normal vid. But nice to see that ESclips has taken a new dimension with this technology

VR video is going to be huge. Imagine buying a Blu-Ray of a live concert that let's you switch camera positions at will. Doing the same online will take a lot more bandwidth than is available today; ideally you would have the highest resolution 3D video at 60 fps for an immersive VR experience.
