She is; yeah, that's what you get with real house music instead of that stupid US oriented 'EDM'. Nobody dances there, just getting drunk or stoned. Come to a house party in Europe and everyone is just dancing the whole night and the music is one continuous flow from the start...
This woman is phenomenal. Listening to this set helped me through rough times. Music can always help when you’re having a hard time.

Listen up everyone: when you start to listen to electronic music, you (probably) are gonna start with EDM, since that is what they play on the radio. But after a while, be it a year or a few years, you'll be looking for more, for something else, for more (what I call) 'advanced electronic music'. So the people who now fancy David Guetta, Garrix, etc. will one day - believe me - start listening to Seth Troxler, Carl Cox and Monika Kruse.
It's just a path that everyone needs to walk, and if EDM opens the path for the 'better electronic music', there's nothing wrong with that. Let these guys have fun eating cake with Steve Aoki, just remember that one day they will rave next to you and Monika Kruse.

@Gone Gaming I mean dubstep isn't just stuff like Skrillex. There's some genuinely amazing stuff out there from as early as the 90s by the likes of Shackleton, Martyn, Burial and many many others. Dubstep definitely belongs there with house.

She's just a great DJ, one of the best on the scene! Metodi Hristov's Basis and Gregor Thresher's Goliath in one set and the mixing is so good that you can not feel the difference between genres at all.. Great job Monika !

How can anyone hate on Monika, shes an absolute legend. She reads the crowd like an open book, shes capable to play 8 hour sets of dark techno in Berghain or a perfect tech house techno blend for a mainstream festival. Not many djs have such variety and knowledge.

+Tuomas Talvi exactly. I read a perfect discription of this EDM-crap one day. It was like "...it's like one orgasm after another, it just makes you tired...". I realy feel sorry for these EDM-kids, they need people with microphones to cheer them up during a set ;) (look at the w&w set, so fucking ANNOYING). But I would compare EDM to pop-music. Its the same kind of people who listen to EDM and pop. Its both super empty music, without soul. More sophisticated people might listen to jazz, raggae and so on and when it comes to electronic music, they will be enyoing classy tech house, techno, deep house or funky house sets, whatever fits the mood. Its always the same, more special types of music don't appeal to the masses. Masses want some braindead jumping around, jumping against each other. Just like on a rock festival. EDM is basicaly the rock festival for electronic music. It's rather sad that Djs like Armin, Tiesto follow this mainstream shit. Tiesto was once great. Ever listened to the "in search of sunrise 3" mix? To me THE best trance mix ever. Great music too. But good that Monika keeps going. This Music is everlasting and it will survive EDM for sure.
