I've been listening to techno since it started in the 70s. I'm 61 now and still dancing, bumping and grinding to the beat! CC is the Master when it comes to putting a track list together. His selection is awesome. He's the best.

I used to like EDM. A working season in Ibiza in 2015 changed my life. Adam Beyer, Carl Cox, Sven Vath, Solomon, man oh man. When i check EDM sets sometimes i think how could i have been this stupit. Techno has become an important part of my life and it will remain so till the day i die. #ravertillidie #drumcode4life

i totally agree, it happened to me too. Once you switch over to techno from the likes of Cox, you never go back to EDM. Techno is soulmusic of the electronic world.

Why Mr. Cox has the best sets ever? He doesn't speak. he doesn't constantly yell over the music. The music and the mixing speaks for him. And when he does speak it only adds to the dancing. Unlike other Djs who bombard their sets with their voice. A set should dominate only with music seamlessly and ongoing. Like a heart beat. Beating for all. Mr. Cox does just that.

This is still one of my favourite sets to watch! Great music, great setup and great crowd. A shame about the weather though, it was horrid that year! Didn't mind at the time but was ill for a week after!
Carl is a master. One of the first to use triple decks. Flawless technician, and great ear. He's a legend.

I worked out to this mix 2nite. Totally awesome! Just the kick I needed! Mr. Cox, something about your mixes gives me incredible bursts of NRG. Went mountain biking in the mountains of New Hampshire for hours blasting your jams. Just kept going.

That was a real music era.

I wish there were more of these types of festivals in the states, most of what's here is just high tempo mixed with a drop every 40 seconds then your long vocal break song and then repeat. carl cox is someone i've always known about but never really paid attention till now and his extended horizon between each beat is such a great change of pace. when you really listen and enjoy, you get stuck in a trance, and really appreciate the drops. and as you all notice, people are actually dancing!!! it's amazing to me.

When asked about his perception on America’s dance music scene, Carl replied:
EDM’s
an entry level to dance music, and I’m very happy about that. We fought
so long for dance music to be respected there. EDM’s a sound America has
latched on to, but once people start going left and right of that
scene, they’re going to find their Art Departments, their Loco Dices and
their Sven Väths - and that’s a really good place to be
